Converting Frostgrave - Part 2 - Thaumaturge, Apprentice and Some Soldiers

I have finished painting my latest four Frostgrave Models.  I really wanted to make a Plastic Wizard and Apprentice from the Sprues available so I went for a Thaumaturge and their apprentice as I really like their school of spells.

I made a Cultist Soldier who could be a treasure hunter or a thief and a Soldier Carrying a Two Handed Weapon for whatever you please.

Some Frostgrave Skeletons and lets get to 500 Painted Figures!

So you can see in my little table (view web version) I have acquired quite a few figures this year!  This is largely thanks to a couple of kickstarters arriving and some Sales/offers that were just too good to say no to.  I want to paint 500 figures this year and I am slightly below that target but determined to get it.

To help me get there I quickly pumped out 10 Mantic Games Skeletons.  These will be used an NPCs or even as a Warband for Frostgrave!  Great little skeletons however I am slightly in favour of the Old School Games Workshop Skeletons.

I am really loving the Winter Theme

A Small Force of Austrians For Sharp Practice

With the aim of playing a game with a close friend of mine I painted up some Napoleonic Austrians for Sharp Practice.  In addition to what I had already painted, I added 4 more Line Infantry, 2 NCOs, 1 Officer, 6 Skirmishing Jaegers and an Artillery Piece.  Of note the Artillery Piece was of poor casting quality from Perry Miniatures which is usually excellent.  I didnt put too much effort into the gun as a result.  All my Austrians are from Perry.  The plastics are brilliant.

I am most pleased with this little force and SP2 is a brilliant game! I have included some bonus pictures of our 2 games.

Frostgrave - Creating Felstad

I have been very busy 3D printing and painting terrain for Frostgrave.  The game is based around the Frozen City of Felstad which is in ruins and the snows have melted attracting adventurers.

All the images in this post contain 3D printed terrain and everything except the bases is printed.  I will start off with some post edited photos first to set the scene.

All of the scenery is from Thingiverse or Printable Scenery.  The Graveyard is a particular favorite of mine.  All the Graveyard components are from Printable Scenery.  I used some left over plasticard for the path and used a tree and centre tombstone from Thingiverse.

Ruined Gothic Abby from Pritable Scenery.  I printed it in four pieces
and in hindsight should of just printed it as one piece

and mounted them to this now redundant technology

To cover the gap I immortalised some Warlord Games employees.  Each CD has a unique

This is only the start for the terrain I am creating for Felstad.  Make sure to follow me on twitter for updates!

... and finally there is only Death in the Frozen City
