I decided to theme on of my German Army as the Panzer Lehr Division. I went with the 901st Panzer Lehr Regiment.
A couple of books for research.

28mm Panzer Lehr Squad |
This is my first squad. They are Artizan Miniatures 28mm Panzer Lehr Troops. I painted rank insignia and small details such as Iron Cross Ribbons on their uniforms. The tank kill badges are decals from Warlord Games.
The Panzer Lehr were some of the first to receive King Tiger Tanks, also known as the Tiger 2. They had 5 in the Normandy Campaign. I decided to model hull 11 that was abandoned by its crew after breaking down in August 1944.
Research Pictures
I acquired a JTFM Die Waffenkammer 1/56 King Tiger. It didn't come with Zimmermit so I had to make my own. I am pretty inexperienced with green stuff but I had a crack and used a small flat head screw driver to do the detail.

DeleteFunklenk-panzerkompanie 316 were attached to Lehr, the 1st coy (tiger 1) and second coy (StuG) plus attached Borgward IV attached. The 3rd Coy Tiger II remained in Saint Denis, due to unreliability, then on the 15th of July the third company formed the new Funklenk-panzerkompanie 302 and posted to 7th Armee in Pays de Loire, one vehicle was unloaded at Nogent Le Rotrou for demonstration to 7th Armee command where the vehicle broke down. The remaining 5 tiger II arrived at Chateaudun where they were to defend the lufwaffe airfield, the bridge across the Loir and the route from Le Mans to Orleans and Chartres. All were lost or destroyed by crews in the region.
