The Journey into Bolt Action

I had played Wargames as a young fella from about the age of 10 upwards.  I played Warhammer 40K second edition with friends from school and was into Hero Quest and Space Hulk.  I painted up some 40k around 2005 and 2006 and played a few games with my then flatmate and some friends I had made through the hobby.

I got out of it due to personnel reasons and now that I am in a good place I have decided to return.  I have held a long interest in World War 2 and had been into World War 2 scale models since a kid.  A good friend of mine who donated me some scale models was a big wargamer and had a huge collection of WW2 figures in both 28mm and 15mm that really sparked my interest!!!!  I couldn't decide between Bolt Action and Flames of War however I am glad I went with Bolt Action after doing some research.

Of course I was drawn to my German roots and ancestry so I rolled with the Germans as my first army.  I will create seperate posts regarding this!
